Thank heaven for little girls. For once in a while, they grow up to be like Christina Tosi.
“Of course, I wanted a bakery when I grew up,” Ms. Tosi said. “It’s the other little-girl dream besides being a princess.”
Momofuku Milk Bar, right in my backyard, is where she dreamed up crack pie and compost cookies.
It’s where you can get towering cakes with sugary frosting and crunchy bits that send you into orbit.
Or, a bit more modest but no less ridiculously delicious, her cake truffles.
Dusty and crumbly on the outside.
Sweet and doughy on the inside.
And rainbow sprinkles that, to a girl like me, are part of the better-than-a-princess dream.

It has been so long since I have had desserts like this, I would probably send myself into some sort of sugar coma taste testing everything !
That Birthday cake is amazing.
omg - that is really not nice to do to those who have not tried these yet!! I am drooling on my keyboard!!
What incredible looking creations! They are so high and intense-looking. The look of that grasshopper pie is makin' me drool though. I could quite easily finish that off!! But the Birthday cake? That is monstorously big!!
Amazing! I love that these treats are whimsical and look like desserts a kid would make up. Wish I were in NYC to have a taste! The birthday cake is calling my name!
