Breakfast club at Locande Verde

I love breakfasting with Ben. We eat so well together.

After our stellar pastry basket at Morandi, there was no way we weren't getting the "pastry mista" at Locande Verde.

From display of such delights as orange chocolate chip scones, cranberry spice bread, apple cider doughnuts and more, we made our selection of three.

Olive oil cake. Still warm. Moist with a beautiful nutty-sweet crust.

A polenta blueberry muffin. Savory and light with bright berries.

And the rich and lovely chocolate cinnamon roll. Every bit as delicious as it looks.

All gone too quickly.

What delicious treats to try on a snowy New York morning! I must make a note to myself about this place.

Thank you.

Yes, you must all try Locande Verde when in NYC! It's tough to get dinner reservations, but a divine breakfast can be had any day, just walking in...

I seriously love all of the places you visit. Makes my mouth water and wish I could be there sharing these sweet treats. Also gives me motivation to make some sweet creations in my own
kitchen .

Oh my... I have been staring wide-eyed at your reviews for the last half an hour. The cupcakes, macarons, cookies... I have a running list of Parisian patisseries to try in my head (next stop, Sadaharu Aoki? Or Carl Marletti? Maybe the Patisserie des Reves again?!) but something about this post now makes me want to cross the Atlantic. Would kill for a polenta blueberry muffin, so un-French!!
